China Orchids Restaurant

This Mural covers all walls in a Chinese restaurant. Many different varieties of orchids are painted growing either in trees or from Chinese stylized rocks. The horizon line composes Chinese stylized hills and mists around a distant lakeside shoreline, which follows at the same height around the room, linking all the elements. This was created to push the walls out and give an illusion of space and distance and create the mood of being in China. The empty space between horizon and orchids is unpainted, except for background emulsion, to save on mural expense.
